About this bundle

What is inside this Leo sticker pack

This Leo sticker pack is the version with the spotlight on. Editorial girl group figures, tarot card lions, art nouveau goddess portraits, sunburst emblems and heavy LEO badge lettering in deep red, antique gold and ink brown.

The colour story is the opposite of the soft bundle. Saturated, high contrast, ornate linework. These are designed to read from across a room, which is why this is the set that gets bought as a gift more than the other two combined.

The art nouveau portraits are the sleeper hit. They read as a nice decorative print to anybody who does not know the sign, and as a very specific statement to anybody who does, because being ornamental on purpose is a different thing from being ornamental by accident.

The right buyer

Who this Leo sticker pack is for

  • Anybody who has looked at Leo zodiac stickers before and found all of them either cute or corporate. This is neither.
  • The Leo who got called too much by somebody who was perfectly happy to stand in their light when it suited them. The badge designs are for that person specifically.
  • Laptop lids, hard cases, anything that gets carried around and looked at by other people. High contrast survives being seen at a distance in a way pastels do not.
  • Gift buyers who want the recipient to react when they open it. If you need a reaction, this Leo sticker pack is the one.

If the person you are buying for keeps their whole life in one calm colour, the Soft bundle is the better read and this Leo sticker pack will sit unopened in a drawer.

Where they go

Where the bold Leo sticker pack works best

This Leo sticker pack was designed to be seen at a distance, so the surfaces that suit it are the ones other people look at. Laptop lids in a coffee shop. A hard shell suitcase. A water bottle that goes to the gym. Anything that gets carried around rather than kept on a desk.

Deep red, antique gold and ink brown hold their edge at three metres in a way pastels do not. That sounds like a small thing and it is the entire difference between the two $18 sets. If the object lives in a bag and comes out in rooms full of people, high contrast is doing real work for you.

The badge designs get put on the outside of a laptop case more often than on the lid itself, which surprised me. My guess is that a case gets replaced sooner than a laptop does, so it feels less permanent. These are permanent adhesive either way, so pick the surface you actually mean.

The art nouveau goddess portraits are the designs people ask about most, and they are the ones that need room. They sit at the top of the 2 to 3 inch range because the ornamental linework stops reading if it is any smaller, so a notebook cover or a laptop lid suits them better than a narrow curved bottle.

If you already collect art nouveau stickers, this Leo sticker pack sits in that category rather than the cute one. The tarot lions in particular read as decorative illustration first, which is why they work on a sketchbook beside things that have nothing to do with astrology.

How these Leo sticker pack are made

Every one of these Leo sticker pack is printed and cut by me, on my own machine, in my studio. Nothing goes out through a print on demand service, which is why the turnaround is 5 to 7 business days rather than same day.

The stock behind these Leo sticker pack is waterproof laminated vinyl. The lamination is the part doing the work: it is what lets them survive a water bottle in a dishwasher and a laptop that lives in a bag. They are fade resistant rather than fade proof, and I would rather say that plainly. A sticker on a car window in full sun all summer will lighten eventually. One on a laptop, a notebook or a tumbler will not.

Sizes run roughly 2 to 3 inches on the longest edge, die cut to the shape of the art rather than left on a square. Each design arrives as its own individual sticker, not a sheet you have to cut apart.

If you want to know what that means in practice: the Leo sticker pack in your order were made in the week you placed it, on a machine I own, in a room I pay rent on. That is the entire supply chain, and it is why I can tell you exactly what happened to them.

Every one of the Leo sticker pack is printed fresh once you order, so nothing has been sitting in a box losing colour for a year before it reaches you.

Application

Putting them on so they last

The Leo sticker pack go on best on a surface that is clean, dry and not textured. Wipe it with rubbing alcohol rather than a household spray, because most sprays leave a film that stops the adhesive gripping properly. Let it dry fully.

Peel from a corner, lay one edge down first, then press outward from that edge so you push the air out rather than trapping it under the middle.

Give it a day before you get it wet. The adhesive keeps curing for about 24 hours, and the most common reason a corner lifts is a water bottle that went straight into a bag and then into a fridge.

The Leo sticker pack use a permanent adhesive rather than a repositionable one. You get a few seconds to adjust and then it is committed. Hand wash anything you put them on, because a dishwasher’s drying cycle is what ages laminated vinyl fastest.

Gifting

The Leo sticker pack as a birthday gift

This is the set that gets bought as a Leo birthday gift more than the other two combined, and the reason is not subtle. It photographs well and it gets a reaction when it comes out of the envelope. If you need the person to visibly react, this is the one.

Leo season runs 23 July to 22 August, so the birthdays are stacked into a four week window and so are my orders. Everything is printed and cut to order in my studio, which means the 5 to 7 business day window is real production time rather than a shelf being emptied. Order in the middle of July if you are aiming at a late July birthday.

The other thing worth knowing is that this Leo sticker pack is fourteen separate stickers rather than one sheet. That matters for gifting, because it looks like fourteen things instead of one thing, and because there is nothing to cut apart before the person can start using them.

If you are buying for somebody whose entire aesthetic is one calm colour, the soft bundle is the better read and I would rather point you at it than take the sale. If you have no idea at all, the complete bundle carries both looks for $32.

The reasoning

Why Leo is like this

Leo sits at the peak of summer. Maximum light, maximum heat, and no cover anywhere. Whatever you are is visible whether you would like it to be or not.

So the strategy is deciding to be good at being seen. Not because attention is pleasant, but because at this point in the year hiding is not on offer, and you may as well be deliberate about the thing that is happening to you anyway.

Leo is not vain and it is not needy. Leo is standing at the one point in the year where there is nowhere to hide, and being deliberate about that reads as performance from the outside.

Not because Leo needs an audience in order to exist. But because at this moment in the year everything is exposed regardless, and somebody has to be the one who is warm about it rather than defensive.

Before you buy

Common questions

Are these Leo sticker pack waterproof?

Yes. They are printed on laminated vinyl, so they hold up on water bottles, tumblers and anything that gets wet regularly. The lamination does it, not the ink.

How big are they?

Roughly 2 to 3 inches on the longest edge, die cut to the shape of the artwork. A tall design and a wide design will not come out the same dimensions.

How many stickers do I actually get?

14 separate Leo sticker pack, one per design. It is not a sheet, so there is nothing to cut apart and no backing grid to peel around.

Will they fade in the sun?

Fade resistant, not fade proof. Indoors on a laptop, a notebook or a tumbler they hold colour for years. On a car window facing full sun, expect them to lighten over a season or two.

Can I buy single designs instead of the bundle?

Singles are on my Etsy shop. The bundle exists because buying six singles costs more than buying the set, not because I am hiding the individual ones.

How long does shipping take?

5 to 7 business days from my studio, because the Leo sticker pack get printed after you order rather than before. That window is real production time, because your order gets printed and cut when it comes in rather than pulled off a shelf.

What if they arrive damaged?

Tell me and I will fix it. The refund policy has the details, but the short version is that I am not going to argue with you about a bent sticker.

Do the three Leo bundles overlap?

Partly. Complete is my pick across both aesthetics plus a couple of exclusives, not a straight merge. Soft and Bold together come to more designs than Complete does, so if you want literally everything, buy those two.

What is in the bold Leo stickers set exactly?

Fourteen designs: editorial girl group figures, tarot card lions, art nouveau goddess portraits, sunburst emblems and heavy LEO badge lettering. The palette runs deep red, antique gold and ink brown.

Are these bigger than the soft designs?

A couple of them are. The goddess portraits sit at the top of the 2 to 3 inch range because the ornamental linework needs the room. Everything is still die cut to the shape of the design rather than left on a square.

Does this Leo sticker pack overlap with the soft bundle?

Not at all. Soft is fourteen designs and Bold is fourteen, with no repeats between them. The complete bundle is the only place designs from both show up together.

Will the gold designs still look gold when they arrive?

They are printed antique gold rather than foiled, so they read as a rich warm ochre rather than a metallic shine. If you were expecting foil I would rather tell you now than have you open the envelope and be surprised.

Next

If you want the reading rather than the stickers

The Leo sticker pack are the light version. If you want to know which stretch of the year your own sun, moon and rising are each built out of, that is a different thing.

The Seasonal Blueprint Mini covers those three placements for $29, written for your chart rather than for your sign in general. The Resource Vault is free if you would rather read a complete sample first.
